The interim e-xparte order to stop the swearing in of Dr Kingsley Onunugbu, who emerged winner in an election that produced the Abia state Chairman of All Progressive Congress APC has been thrown out.
Hon Justice Ahuchogu of High Court of Ukwa, who presided over the matter declined and refused that the suit should stand.
The interim e-xparte order was aimed at stopping Ononogbu’s swearing scheduled for 3/2/202, but was declined and or refused by the Hon. Justice.
The incident occurred today at High Court of Ukwa in suit NO: HUK/50/2021.DAVIES JUMBO @ ORS VS APC @ ORS.
The preliminary objection challenging the power or jurisdiction of the court to hear the case was equally argued and ruling reserved for 18th Feb,2022.
Speaking on the matter, Barr, V. C. NWANKWO ESQ who disclosed this at Ukwa High Court said that the suit is on life support, and will judicially die on the date it was reserved for ruling.
He said that God is still on the throne to do the miraculous in the mission to rescue Abia state, which he assured is on course and solidly too. END
