Three major stakeholders in Aba have pledged to partner with the All Progressive Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate, High Chief Ikechi Emenike, to rescue and Develop Abia from dilapidation and misrule. They are the Abiriba Community in Aba, the Old Bende Traditional rulers Council and their members, and the Abia state Market Associations, all in Aba, the commercial nerve center of Abia state. They made their pledges at triple ceremonies organized at different locations and times in Aba, before the weekend, to receive Emenike, who was on interactive tour of the city to rob minds with major stakeholders on how to move Abia forward
His first audience was the Abiriba Community, who received him and his entourage at Jubilee Road, followed by the Old Bende traditional rulers council and their Assocition, who received him at Hills Hotel, Ogbo Hill, while the Artisans and market Associations received him at Azikiwe road, all in Aba the same day. The three venues were jam-parked with people, who though must have heard of the gospel of Rescue and Development of Abia from others, but who wanted to hear it from Emenike, the founder of the gospel. At the three ceremonies, they all agreed in their conclusion that the APC Candidate is the only governorship candidate in the state whose explanation to salvage the state from decay is meaningful and understandable.
The Abiriba Community event attracted thousands of residents and party faithful, some of whom the hal could not contain and they waited outside. After hearing his message of hope, the crowd surged forward to see a man that has impressed them in his plans for the people of Aba and Abia as a state, and it took efforts of different security operatives to hold them back, as they struggled to touch the helm of his garment.
They all agreed that Emenike should take over governance in Abia, based on how he marshaled out his rescue and development agenda, adding that he is the only one who has the solution to Abia challenges.
Earlier, while narrating their ordeals in the hand of touts in the city, the Abiriba Community decried the state of decay in Abia, and the hardship they have been going through since the misrule of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, came into existence in the state. The Community people, who are usually business men and women, lamented that touts, raised by the Government have thrown them into hardships .
According to them, they are usually harassed and exploited each time their containers arrived for off-loading, as the touts would be demanding for taxes and rates that does not go into government coffers. They complained of other deprivations by the government which has never favored their businesses since inception, promising to support Emenike, who is the only candidate that has given them sense of belonging in his agenda for governance.
“He took his time to explain to us how he is going to tackle each challenge , others will tell you what they will do but will not tell you how they will do it”, Kalu Ogbu an Abiriba son told this reporter at the venue. They agreed that they had accepted his partnership offer and would be part of his Rescue and Development team that will ensure that nothing less than ten thousands votes will be delivered to him by the Community in Aba alone during the election.
Emenike who responded to their address assured them that they would be going into the government House together, to start the development mission of his administration.
“This is the time for you to convince people and get the votes of your friends, neighbors and even enemies by telling them that we are the only party that will rescue and develop Abia . You should convince your enemies to agree with you and vote our party because we are going to rebuild Abia.
“Your leader talked about water, and everyone knows that in 1950, which was seventy years ago, there was tap water in Umuahia, and today which is seventy years after, there is no water in running in Umuahia and its environs, it is a shame”.
He assured the Community that water, health care system and other necessities of life will be provided by his government. END
