Niger Delta Youth Peace Builders said that Abians should see the 2023 election as the last chance to liberate the State from the bondage of underdevelopment, urging citizens not to be distracted by the desperation of men who wish to hold them to ransom by all means. The president of the group, Comrade Chibuike Emmanuel stated this in a press statement he issued in Umuahia. He advised Abians to give full support to High Chief Ikechi Emenike, the authentic All Progressive Congress, APC governorship candidate, divinely mandated to rescue and develop Abia state. He explained that the Court arrangement which pronounced Dr Sampson Uche Ogah as APC Governorship Candidate is nothing but a distraction because their plot to scuttle the efforts of liberating the state has been brought to the open due to the cries and sufferings of the people. He explained further that Ogah’s actions are the collective efforts of the enemies of the State to keep enslaving the people for selfish purposes.“If it is not so, why would those who claim to have the interest of the State at heart be the ones enforcing fraud with intent to thwart the good efforts of the party, why the desperation?, he queried. “The most recent is the bursting of the falsified document with which the former Minister of Mines and steel Development, a political jobber was using to parade himself as the governorship flag bearer of the party in the state, in what seems like a coordinated effort to deny the people of Abia the opportunity of voting the rightful candidate into power to rescue and rebuild the state”. The youth leader said that there is the need to raise the consciousness of Abians to the fact that there is no bigger prophecy than the one in the name of the state Governor, Ikpeazu, which when literally translated means that Abia has witnessed the last of her bad governments.“Now, citizens of the state should utilize their last chance the last chance to unshackle the State from the bondage of underdevelopment and backwardness, and take it to the direction of development and prosperity”.He called on the security agencies to expedite action and apprehend and bring Ogah to justice as directed by the court since nobody is above the law.“This will surely restore the confidence the people repose in judiciary and security agencies, especially now that elections are around the corner.
