There is no better way of showing love and support to someone you love other than welcoming him or her to your home, and that was exactly what was witnessed yesterday at Ndoro Community primary school, as Ikwuano people turned out in their numbers to welcome the All Progressive congress Governorship Candidate , High Chief Ikechi Emenike. The mammoth crowd that attended the rally was unprecedented, according to an Ikwuano Indegene, Okey Izuwa, who was also at the venue to welcome the party flag bearer. The campaign was not only attended by APC members, but by Abians who are tired of misrule of the current peoples Democratic party leadership in the state.Important dignitaries who attended tha rally include the Minister of state for science and technology, Chief Henry Ikoh, the South East Zonal Vice Chairman Dr Ijeoma, an Ikwuano born political bulldozer, Hon Emeka Atuma, Rt. Hon Martins Azubuike, the immediate past state Chairman of APC, Chief Donatus Nwankpa and many others.

My government will build blocks of development that will in turn create jobs for teaming youths. Let say this, your tomorrow as a youth starts the day I am sworn in as governor”, he assured.
He thanked the people of Ikwuano for their show of love assured them of proper position in his cabinet. “We will not forget in a hurry your hospitality and the manner we were welcomed, it is obvious that we all have become victims of bad governance in Abia and we are poised to change it. Ikwuano is APC, don’t fail to demonstrate it at the coming poll starting from the presidential to the governorship elections”. He urged.
He said that it is criminal and a sin before God for any leader not to pay salaries and pension of workers as at when due, adding that he will resign as Governor if his government should owe workers and pensioners for four months.
” we will push for executive bill that we will compel the governor to resign if salaries and pensions are owed for four months. I know that some people will not like me because it will not be business as usual when I become the governor, so they will attempt to sabotage us and make me resign by deliberately frustrating our efforts. Sorry I have their antidotes, if after two months the workers and pensioners have not been paid, I’ll sack the Accountant General, if after another two weeks my directives have not been obeyed I’ll sack the Commissioner for Finance and personally handle the payment”, Emenike stated. On the position of the part in the state, he maintained that the party is united in their bid to Rescue and Develop Abia, but stressed that any candidate who is found to be undermining the party will be sanctioned. He, therefore, charged them to troop out in their numbers to come vote for APC during the two elections, assuring that their votes will count in this election , as no one will again manipulate the election in the state.
