The immediate past State Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, in Abia state, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, was among the party Chieftains that spoke recently on the need for all hands to be on deck to give overwhelming support to the Abia Central Senatorial candidates of the party, Hon Chief Emeka Atuma if they truly want quality representation at the senate from 2023.Others who joined him in the call include onetime speaker of Abia state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Martins Azubuike , one time state House of Assembly member, Hon. Chidi Nwosu, an LGA Chairman of the party, Nze Ngozi Anyanwoko, youth leaders, stakeholders, women leaders and people too numerous to mention here.In his speech, Nwankpa emphasized on the need to vote in Atuma, the Abia Central Senatorial Candidate, whom he said was nominated and elected during primary, based on his personal quality and anticipated quality representation that he will bring to his constituents as a Senator.It was at a tour of all the Local Government Councils, starting from Isialangwa South, where he had gone to interact with party leaderships in his senatorial zone to solicit for their support for the 2023 senatorial election in the state.Nwankpa said that it was known that majority of the LGAs in Abia Central have all produced Senators at different times of the election or the other, but called on the party to rally round Atuma for a better service. He reminded the Local Government Party executives that there is need to work harder to ensure that come 2023, Hon. Atuma, the party candidate emerges as the Abia Central Senatorial Zone Senator.He further reminded them that during his times as a House of Representative member, he fulfilled all his promises to his constituents by adequately providing dividends of democracy to them.Earlier in his speech, the Director General of Grace movement, a political structure that is built to ensure the success of Atuma in the election, Rt Hon Martins Azubuike told the the party leadership that they were at the LGA to familiarize with the owners of the party from the local government down to the wards.He reminded them that come 2023, it is Operation show your score card, and in so doing, it is pertinent that they give their support to a credible candidate for better representation.One time state of House of Assembly member, Hon. Chidi Nwosu, who is the spokesperson of Grace movement, did not speak less of the quality of Atuma, who he said towers above all other persons from other parties eyeing the enviable seat at the senate.LGA Chairman of the party, Nze Ngozi Anyanwoko called on all well-meaning people of the LGA to see it as a matter of duty to ensure that Atuma emerges victoriously in 2023.Others who joined hands in drumming support for the APC Senatorial candidate include youth leaders, stakeholders, women leaders and people too numerous to mention here.In his speech, the Senatorial Candidate, Chief Atuma urged the LG Chairmen to start all round sensitization of the people in their localities, adding that in so doing, they will strengthen the party’s ability to win all the elective positions, ranging from Governorship to Senatorial and others come 2023.He said that there is no faction in Abia state APC as the era of division has ended, and pledged his undiluted support to the party’s leadership in the state.He appreciated the leadership of the party for their doggedness and resilience in making sure that APC as a party clinches all the elective positions come 2023 elections.He reminded them not to lose grip of the fact that Abia APC is an opposition party in the state and that for them to win their positions, all hands must be on deck, so that qualitative and quantitative representation will be sent down the wards.
