Ohanaeze Ndigbo has urged Abia state Governor, Dr Victor Okezie Ikpeazu to use the remaining period of his administration to get committed and fight for the aspirations of Ndigbo, especially injustices being meted out to the people of South East, adding that it is part of the things they are expecting him to do for them.
This is contained in a letter of felicitation sent to the Governor, signed by the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro as he marks his 58th year birthday which comes up today October 18th in Umuahia ,Abia state capital.
Ohaneze explained that there are still some challenges facing Ndigbo, “but it appears that only Governor Ikpeazu is speaking out the minds of the people of southeast, and that only people like him deserves to be at the floor of the Senate for Ndigbo in 2023 to continue his good work.
They prayed that God should continue to guide him to keep doing the right things and as well as continue to make Abia the safest State devoid of insecurity and menace from youth restiveness.
They applauded “his numerous achievements, especially in security, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development, to mention but few, adding that he has remained unbeaten in governance since 1999.
“Abians have been unfortunate with the previous governments until the arrival of Ikpeazu’s administration to ameliorate their agonies and despairs from the past regimes, he is the best amongst others who have been saddled since 1999″, Ohaneze stated. END
