Many had thought that soldiers are not humans because of their carriage when they have dealings with civilians.
But a recent occurrence in an NYSC Camp in Kwara state, where a male Corps member, who could no longer hide his love to a female soldier at the camp, knelt before her in the open, stretched forth his hands with a ring, in proposal for a marriage, was accepted by the female soldier has actually proved that soldiers, both male and female, are after all humans, who can fall in love and raise family .
But for whatever reason, which cannot be far from breaking the rules of duty, the show of acceptance to the love proposal of the corps member has landed the female soldier in trouble.
Sunnews Times learnt that the female soldier has been identified , arrested and detained, while investigation into the matter is on-going.
It could be recalled that a trending video of a corps member proposing to a female soldier at the NYSC camp in Kwara State elicited reactions to the public.
Possibly because, by their rules, soldiers are not permitted to openly display their affection to the opposite sex in the public, the battle-trained female soldier landed herself in trouble by returning love for love while on duty.
The incident happened at the Passing Out Parade of Batch B, Stream 2 of the NYSC during the week.
In one of the now-viral videos, the yet-to-be-identified corps member knelt before the female soldier, held a ring towards her, proposing to have her hands in marriage.
Amid cheers and applause from other corps members in the background, the female soldier, who looked stunned accepted the proposal, by stretching forth her appropriate finger for the ring to be fixed, while they both sealed their romantic display with kisses to the delight of other corps members who recorded the incident.
The incident had spark off different reactions on social media, with many commending the male corps member for his bravery and genius display of love, without anyone knowing what was in the mind of the army authorities, where the female soldier belong.
However, Eons Intelligence, a platform for intelligence gathering and security updates of the army has stated that the female soldier had been detained by the Nigerian Army authorities after watching the video.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army and NYSC officials are yet to make official comment on the issue .
Eons Intelligence noted that a signal by the Army stated that the female soldier has been identified and detained at a military detention facility in Ilorin pending further investigations.
It was not known what the female soldier had been arrested for , but cannot be far from breaking rules of the army while still on duty. END
