The All Progressive Congress, APC, leadership, in Abia state said yesterday that the former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah and his dwindling followers are living in fool’s paradise by feasting on a court judgment which awarded him a phoney victory. The party said further that by the time Ogah and his followers wake up from their slumber, they will realize that they have been sold a dummy, which will not stand further judicial scrutiny. This is contained in a statement issued by the leaders of the party in the state signed the party Chairman, Dr Kingsley Ononogbu, state Secretary, Chief Chidi Avaja and the publicity Secretary , Obinna Atuonwu. The party and her leadership distanced themselves from Ogah, expressing dismay that he is even rejoicing over the judgment delivered in his favor by a Federal High Court without realizing its judicial inadequacies. They said that they realized the need to make clarifications on the issue to stop the misinformation and disinformation going on in the media space, which paint wrong picture of the true situation. They described as miscarriage of justice, the judgment delivered by Justice Binta Nyako, which awarded a meddlesome interloper the right to the candidacy of the party based only on INEC report.According to them, the judge forgot to consider that the same INEC report stated that they (the electoral body) also monitored the primary election that produced the authentic Governorship candidate of the party in the person of High Chief Ikechi Emenike. It could be recalled that Justice Nyako had in the judgment he delivered on November 11 affirmed a primary election conducted by Ogah against the one conducted by APC National leadership which produced Emenike as the state Party Governorship Candidate. The party therefor affirmed that Ogah has no legitimate claim to the party ticket and warned him to stop parading himself as their governorship candidate.
