The Abia state Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC, High Chief Ikechi Emenike has finally won in the battle to disposes him of the mandate given to him by Abians and the leadership of his party in the state.This is as a result of the affirmation of his victory as the Governorship candidate of the party in Abia, Gods own state by the supreme Court in Abuja. Details of his victory are still being awaited as at the time of filing this report, but the Sun News Times can authoritatively disclose that the apex Court, sitting in Abuja, upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal in Owerri division.
It could be recalled that the court of Appeal in Owerri dismissed the suit filed against Emenike by the former Minister of state for Mines and steel development, Dr Sampson Uche Ogah. Ogah had challenged the emergence of Emenike at the primaries conducted by the leadership of the party in the state, supervised the the leadership of the party at the national headquarters.
According to an Abuja based online Media, details were still being dished out by the court as at the time of filing this report.His victory today should bring to an end, all battles that have been wedged to stop him from his poise to rescue and Develop Abia.It could be recalled that Emenike is the most sued governorship candidate, with over 20 suits , most of which he had scaled without scratches.Political observes are of the opinion that this victory is suppose to unite other party members who hitherto pitched tent with the other side of the divide to work together and free Abia state from the current wroth imposed on her by wicked leadership.
